Innovative Composite Technologies and Prestigious Awards for Toray Industries at CAMX 2019

Morgan Hill, California, Sep 24, 2019—Toray Industries will display the latest in composites innovation at the upcoming CAMX 2019 Conference and Tradeshow in Anaheim, California—the largest advanced materials event in North America. Toray Advanced Composites, Toray Composite Materials America, and Toray Performance Materials Corporation will be exhibiting together for the first time at this event.

Toray will display the latest in TORAYCA® carbon fiber products, aerospace composite prepregs, out-of-autoclave thermoset prepregs, high temperature polyimide prepregs, Toray CFRT® laminates and component parts, and the market-leading Toray AmberTool® composite tooling prepregs. In addition to displays in the booth, the Toray Envir-Bond® and Inflatable Composites Air Core Composite™⁽*⁾ technologies have been selected as finalists for ACE and CAMX awards respectively—these items will be on display in the Awards Pavilion.

As a leader in structural, low-dielectric composite radome materials, Toray Advanced Composites will also highlight TC522, a new, highly toughened, modified epoxy prepreg resin system for the radome and communications market. TC522 has an excellent balance of electrical and mechanical properties for highly loaded dielectric structures in severe impact environments, making it ideal for the newest generation of supersonic aircraft and defense systems.
