Processibility and performance at Advanced Engineering 2017

TenCate Advanced Composites will be showcasing their enhanced European offering of thermoset UD tapes and prepregs to the aerospace, high performance automotive and industrial markets at the Advanced Engineering show (Birmingham, UK) 1-2 November stand L130.
Processability and performance are key themes for TenCate, who are displaying new product developments that allow for the fast and efficient production of composite components and tools. TenCate E732, a snap cure epoxy prepreg capable of a full Tg of 170°C in 4 minutes designed for the production high volume components without compromise on mechanical and cosmetic performance.
Additionally, the TenCate AmberTool® series of tooling prepregs has extended to the HXR series, a multi-axial format which provides an exceptional tool surface while maintaining the easy handling of single ply tooling prepregs and reducing lay-up time.
With a leading position in thermoplastic composites for aerostructures, TenCate also displays an Airbus A350 XWB fuselage technology demonstrator, housing fuselage clips, window clips and stringers that are made using TenCate Cetex© reinforced thermoplastic laminates.
TenCate will also be presenting on day 1 of the show on two forums. Firstly on open forum 3 (composites and advanced engineering) at 1 pm “Processing of thermoplastic composites and future challenges,” and open forum 5 at 4 pm (automotive engineering) “Advanced Tooling Prepregs: Increasing Efficiency, Reducing Cost.”
