TenCate Advanced Composites at Hannover Messe 2014

This press release was issued as TenCate Advanced Composites, prior to our acquisition by Toray Industries and name change to Toray Advanced Composites in 2019.

At the trade fair, TenCate shows the chassis of the Alfa Romeo 4C, manufactured by Adler in Italy using thermoset composite from TenCate.  For years TenCate has a strong presence in the aerospace industry with its thermoplastic composites. TenCate thermoset composites are widely used in the space industry. The shift to the automobile industry opens up a new market. TenCate intends to build a bridge from the small (racing) car producers to the large automobile manufacturers with countless – thermoset or thermoplastic – composite parts or materials for the large-scale manufacturing of cars.
