Summary of Functions:

The Quality Analyst is responsible for assisting the Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) or designee in maintaining and improving the Quality system.  This includes specification review, product certification, and other key tasks to support the on-going activities in the Quality Management area.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review quality documents from the suppliers, such as test report and certificate of conformance, for compliance with raw materials specifications or purchase orders.
  • Prepare Certificate of Conformance and Test Reports for product shipments.
  • Perform QA review of production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining quality documentation and control procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Assist the Quality Engineers or the Quality Manager in doing research to answer customer inquiries for data, certifications and compliance to various regulations.
  • Assist the Material Review Board (MRB) in maintaining the Nonconforming Material database.
  • Assist in Corrective Action Process by initiating and monitoring status of the Corrective Action and maintaining the Corrective Action database.
  • Additional assignments of the Quality Analyst may include support of Product Development teams as needed, failure analysis support as needed, maintenance of both Toray’s and Customer Process Control Documents and raw materials specifications and test procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager or designee

Experience and/or Education:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in quality, process, or manufacturing engineering.
  • ASQ Certified preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Statistical knowledge including Statistical Process Control and Reliability and Repeatability

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Proven experience of working with databases and systems, including inputting and extracting data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational/planning skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, priorities and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, participants and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
