Toray Advanced Composites is a leading supplier of thermoplastic and thermoset composite materials for the aerospace and industrial advanced composite industry.  The thermoset composites from Toray are used on satellites, radomes, unmanned aircraft, general aviation and military aircraft.  Toray also provides thermoset composites in high end industrial and recreational applications ranging from oil and gas to prosthetics to sporting equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overall shipment documentation preparation and scheduling to ensure materials are picked up and delivered to our customers on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to organize materials and paperwork necessary for shipments
  • Schedule and coordinate with truck lines and shipping partners for shipment pickup and delivery
  • Coordinate with team members, customers, and suppliers where more information is needed for shipments
  • Prepare both domestic and international documents for shipments
  • Prepare daily invoice and tracking reports
  • Work with Shipping Department to obtain weights and dimensions and other items necessary for shipment scheduling
  • Scan and distribute shipment documentation to internal and external customers
  • Prepare shipping department metrics
  • Prepare daily ship schedule report and attend daily/bi-weekly (for FF) meeting
  • Solicit shipment quotations from truck lines to internal customers for customer approval
  • Utilize carrier portals where available
  • Generate additional shipping labels as required by customer

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3-5 years’ experience with logistics, inventory management and/or service operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player that reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship
  • Proactive, adaptive, and accountable
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferable
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office suite
  • Experience with The International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) is preferable
