The primary purpose of the Electro Mechanical Technician is to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness and reliability. The position will primarily be located in our Camarillo, CA location, reporting to our Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Proficiency

  • AA Degree required, Bachelor's degree
  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift license, scissor lift, and boom lift
  • 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (maintenance, manufacturing & electrical)
  • Hungry, humble and smart. A team player.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal accountability, work autonomously / with little direction, and support a countermeasure culture.
  • Demonstrate project management skills
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting knowledge of equipment up to 480V, DC and 24v controls.
  • Ability to read/understand electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (with assistance), climb ladders and work in confined areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must attend and stay current on all safety training including, LOTO Line Breaking, Hot Work and Confined Space.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks (PM’s), diagnose, and replace production equipment sensors (i.e., photoeyes, limit switches, proximity sensors, pressure switches) as needed
  • Diagnose and resolve lighting issues
  • Repair electrical system defects (i.e. junction boxes, seal tight, conduit connections, terminal strips / blocks, wiring connections)
  • Evaluate problems with machinery, equipment, physical structure, pipe and electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and determine optimal means for resolving problems.
  • Perform installation and repair work as assigned by work orders approved by the maintenance and/or department managers.
  • Use blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings extensively as guides for performing installation, repair and preventative maintenance work.
  • Record information about work completed on the work order and enters information in the computer database system.
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance work.
  • Work with vendors and contractors as directed and authorized by maintenance lead or manager.
  • Operates an electric power jack, electric forklift, and LP gas forklift.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Medium to advance knowledge of working with PLC.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
