The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and facilitating QA Systems and Lab activities across the Morgan Hill and Fairfield sites.  Works closely with all departments management at both sites to establish priorities for Quality. Assesses and provides the resource needs of the departments and I or directly leads projects to help both sites achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Objectives.


  • Manage the Quality Systems to ensure compliance to regulatory, statutory and customer requirements.
  • Establish and lead the long term department objectives with a goal of continuous
  • Plan, budget and execute resource needs to maintain an efficient but effective department for the both the lab and
  • Assess and conduct or supply training for increased competence of key departmental personnel
  • Plan and execute harmonization in the systems of the two facilities for a seamless customer experience and shared best
  • Drive the lab capability and planning to optimize the balance of lead time to
  • Represent Toray as a primary quality interface with key strategic customers
  • Motivate and engage the QA team toward a common vision and goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related degree, Master's degree
  • Must have a strong background of at least 6 years in a manufacturing environment with at least 4 of those years in
  • At least 5 years in a people manager role
  • Expert knowledge of AS9100, Rev C
  • Experience in NADCAP certification and Laboratory Management preferred
  • Highly organized with very effective time management
