We are seeking a motivated, proactive Senior Material Project Manager to join the Research & Product Development team on the location in Nijverdal.

Together with your fellow engineers, you will manage projects in which you and your team will be responsible for continuous improvement of TAC’s products and create new materials and processes. This means that you and your team initiate and support development activities. You can always rely on the team in Nijverdal or your international colleagues in the UK, US and Japan. Concrete tasks are further:

  • Lead multidisciplinary Dutch aerospace funded projects (especially “Luchtvaart in Transitie”).
  • Evaluate, summarize and report results to the funding body and/or the consortium lead.
  • Support multidisciplinary internal projects.
  • Collaborate within large national funding programs and lead in external bilateral projects.
  • Support team members in terms of thermoplastic composites development.
  • Evaluate, summarize and report results to the local and global teams.

R&D

You will be part of the Research & Product Development team in Nijverdal, our European center of excellence for thermoplastic composites. Focus of the team is the development of lightweight materials for a wide range of current and future applications, such as aerospace and urban mobility. Many disciplines come together in our profession: Materials science, (aerospace) engineering and chemistry.

Experience with composites and polymers is therefore a major advantage. We are looking for someone with a creative, open mind, an inquisitive attitude and the motivation to become the best in everything related to our carbon fiber reinforced materials. Your responsibility is expected to be divided as follows depending on your experience: 70% project management, 30% supervising and reporting on experimental activities.

Experience, education and skills

  • PhD level or Master degree plus industrial experience (5 - 10 years) in the field of composite material.
  • Project Management experience is required.
  • A good level of understanding the English and Dutch language verbally and written.
  • Experience with national and European funded programs.
  • Experience with mechanical testing , polymer characterization is beneficial.
  • Experience with thermoplastic and their processing.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Salary range between € 70K – 90K per year depending on work experience.
