The Inventory Control Analyst reports directly to the Materials Manager and accomplishes a dual role in inventory management and other supply chain/planning requirements. The position works closely with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations personnel to drive inventory optimization, reduce stock-outs, improve and maintain inventory accuracy, including performing cycle counts, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, insure FIFO, manage Kanban levels of inventory items, perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective action.


Administer Cycle Count Program according to set schedule and procedure for both Morgan Hill and Fairfield locations.

  • Preparation and collection of count sheets
  • Twice yearly ABC reclassification preparation
  • Direct and perform counts
  • Detailed analysis of count results
  • Direct and perform recounts and other research for discrepant material
  • Coordinate audits
  • Report findings and recommendation for adjustment
  • Ensure integrity of counted material i.e. condition and expiration status
  • Plan, gather data and facillitate physical inventory as required.
  • Act at point of contact for all bar code related requests, internal and external, to include training, scan sheets etc.
  • Makes recommendations to adjust safety stock levels for critical items without compromising inventory level goals
  • Manage excess and obsolete raw materials and work with intermediate and finished good stakeholders to disposition
  • Other duties as assigned


  • College degree preferred
  • APIC’s training preferred
  • Five years minimum experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in administering a cycle count program
  • Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with ERP business software (Microsoft AX Dynamics preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse, manipulate and report on large amounts of data
