SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe operation of the shipping, receiving, and stores (SRS) and Part Mark staff.  They will ensure timely and accurate transactions in AX, perform cycle counts, proper execution of incoming receipt, shipping, and storage processes including inspection as appropriate.  The Logistics Supervisor will ensure proper identification, storage, handling, and disposal of all materials including hazardous materials.  They will also identify and help resolve any material or other issues impacting scheduled production and the shipment of customer orders.  The Logistics Supervisor will assist the Materials Manager as well as perform any assigned projects or special activities.   

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ensures that all activities are performed in a safe manner.
  • Maintain work areas in neat, orderly and safe manner.
  • Ensure AS-9100 procedures are followed or, if needed, propose changes.
  • Work with Sales and Customer service to ensure customer shipments meet committed ship dates, appropriate carriers, with accurate labels and appropriate packaging.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipts of Purchase orders, perform appropriate incoming inspection, transact in AX and identify & store in warehouse properly.
  • Determine, for selected materials, requirements by means of Kanban, prepare and release purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders to ensure zero stock outs.  
  • Coordinate with Production, issuance on a FIFO basis and return to stock of raw materials and finished products.
  • Maintain AX inventory accuracy through cycle counts and other means including wall to wall physicals.
  • Work with the Planning group to reduce and dispose of Slow Moving and Obsolete Goods inventory.  
  • Supervise to ensure Parts mark staff meet quality, quantity, and scheduled output requirements.
  • Supervise to ensure staffing is appropriate to the current business condition and staff is cross trained and qualified (per Personal Capabilities Matrix) to allow for back up and work load variations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager or designee.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma, four year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of SRS related experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.  Prefer experience with AS-9100 or ISO-9001 requirements
  • Must have Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company.
  • Must have experience in a computerized MRP system.  MS Dynamics AX experience strongly preferred. 
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, written and verbally, in English.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to spend extensive time using a computer and phone to meet daily job requirements.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and fork lift (must have a current valid driver’s license).
  • 8 hours shift Monday through  Friday
