The primary purpose of the Production Supervisor is overseeing the day-to-day productive operatives, ensuring that the production line is running smoothly with employees meeting their production targets and quality standards.

The position will primarily be located in our Camarillo, CA location, reporting to our Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFICIENCY

• Minimum Associates Degree with 5 years’ experience with production and quality control

• Must be a team player. Be Forthright, Receptive, Approachable.

• experience in deploying EH&S regulations and activities

• Lean, Six Sigma certifications a plus.

• Experience with a computerized manufacturing tracking system highly desirable

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form

• Assertive, ‘can-do’ attitude

• Primary language is English. Ability to speak in Spanish a plus.

• Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, employees and the general public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforcement of safety rules and policies

• Ensures correct manufacture, identification, movement and storage of products

• Creating an environment that is conducive to teamwork.

• Ensure the ISO 9100 are complied with in all areas of responsibility

• Planning and organizing staff shift rotas and tasks

• Making sure that products are to the highest grade and production standards

• Reporting plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance

• Motivating your team

• Producing management reports on performance

• Monitoring quality control

• Identifying and organizing training needs. Health and Safety monitoring ensuring the safest working environment possible for staff, carrying out accident investigations. Actively working to eliminate hazards that may cause injury.

• Managing good housekeeping standards.

• Making sure that paperwork is in place for audits.

• Prepares and communicates status reports to appropriate Manager

• Completes run sheets and troubleshoots problems

• Recruiting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

• Tracking staff absenteeism and time-keeping

• Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts

• Operates the facility in full compliance with local, county and federal regulations with respect to environmental and safety standards

• Interacts with support staff, as appropriate, to address technical problems in the department

• Other duties assigned
