Senior AP Accountant

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
  • Review invoice coding for accuracy and obtain proper approvals
  • Enter and review daily vendor invoices, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Review expense reports for compliance with T&E policy
  • Process expense reports through ExpenseWire reporting
  • Ensures that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits
  • Prepare weekly check runs and record all checks
  • Processes and monitors payments and expenditures
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card expenses
  • Review and manage A/P Aging
  • Reconcile and maintain A/P ledgers and accounts monthly
  • Record general monthly accruals
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist with the external audit process
  • Maintain vendor files and process annual 1099 forms and file with taxing authority
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience or related field (previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing/entering financial information
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company
  • Able to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Decision making, problem solving and analytical skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Systems: Microsoft Dynamics AX, ADP Payroll / time and labor
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced MS Excel skills, accounting software, 10 key by touch preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed
